Introducing
the IsoBox SERIES, a new product line of Medical Grade Isolation
Transformers with low noise and low EMR (Electro-Magnetic
Radiation). Four standard models are available in attractive
aluminum cases for floor or wall mounting.
For Patient
Care Areas*, our IsoBox Series offers added safety when
using electronic or electromedical devices. By connecting
such apparatus to the IsoBox, you will benefit from the added
protection and you may rest assured that you will be in full
compliance with the legal requirements of maximum 100 µA
leakage current and isolation as stipulated by the NEC (National
Electrical Code) and UL (Underwriters, Laboratories) safety
standard UL2601.1.
You can
also realize some savings in your purchasing budget when buying
standard commercial grade printers, video monitors, computers
and other devices and connect them to our IsoBox, instead
of paying for higher priced medical grade components. Our
IsoBox will take care of the required maximum leakage current
requirements for Patient
Care Areas*.
There
are two basic series available. The U.S. series operates at
117V/60Hz for U.S. and Canadian installations. The International
series is designed to operate in North America as well as
overseas and in South America.
Using
our own design and manufacture of the toroidal power transformers
for the IsoBox, we can achieve a voltage drop of only 6% for
the 300VA rating and smaller for the larger power ratings.
The toroidal transformer inside the IsoBox is virtually hum
free, generates very low EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference)
and runs quite cool, also at rated full load. Computer and
video monitors can be sensitive to EMI as are many other electronic
devices.
